'Only a lover adorns the assembly of the Beloved'
The function is held in the city named after Maulana Ali Mian (May Allah bless him), the late Indian scholar from Lucknow, who passed away on 31 Dec. 1999 in the holy month of Ramadan.
The mega event which has been held for the past several years is also the tenth anniversary of Mujaddidiya Assembly for Muhammadiyyah Enlightenment (MEM).
Arrangements have been made for the holding Taravih prayers in the ground as per the convenience of the visitors.
Keeping in mind the increasing trend in the number of female participation, special female volunteers have been selected from the Calicut district.
* Day 1.
The event, which begins at 9.30pm with the blessed dua of Syed Muhammad Ali Shihab, will be chaired by Syed Umar Bafaqi. After qira'at by the qari of Kottakkal Sirhind Masjid, Ali Mian's book, translated by Samdani, will be presented by Qazi Syed Muhsin Shihabudhin to Syed Sadiq Ali Shihab.
Following this will be the speech of Samadani entitled, 'From darkness to light'.
* Day 2.
On the second day, chaired y Syed Umar Ali Shihab, the calendar marking the tenth anniversary of Mujaddidiya Assembly for Muhammadiyyah Enlightenment (MEM) will be presented by Syed Basheer Ali Shihab. Awards will be also be presented to the students of Shah Waliyullah Institute of Value Based Education courses under various categories like Best Orator, Best Writer and Best Reciter. this will be followed by Samadani's speech entitled "A Merciful Prophet or Pearl is he?" (in reference to a poetic line of Sri Narayana Guru, the renowned Hindu reformer, on the Holy Prophet (saws).)
* Day 3.
The concluding day is chaired by Syed Haider Ali Shihab. Samadani will be talking on the topic is "That is Fatimah !". In the middle of the speech, the youths will take oath to refrain from dowry marriages.
In the end shall be prayer of Syed Muhammad Ali Shihab.
