if someone proposes, just keep praying istikhara as much as you can. than go along with the events, ie meeting the person, asking him questions, investigating his background, etc. if everything goes smoothly and you find yourself getting married, than alhamdullah its right because you relied on Allah to give you the right answer. if it doesnt work out than its because it wasnt the right thing for you. take care.

Welcome to the board!
Why have you refused the offers you have received?

jazakhilakhair to u all for replying
thank u so much for the detailed description of the website,
and all the info bout continuing istikharat
reason behind rejecting offers;
first guy, well i wasnt exactly 'happy' with the state of his Islam at the time i met and talked with him
i wasnt 'drawn' to him at the first look, and the conversation seemed to go nowhere
the second guy, he was a tougher one, while doing istikaharat, my feelings were a little bit more hopeful than with the 1st guy, but this one i had known since i was very young
and well, we went to the same school and i already knew his feelings about someone else, this offer was more from his parents, although both of us decided to c wat happens inshaAllah
alhumdulillah, while doing istikharat regarding both of them, i didnt feel anything 'special' or right.. Allah hu ailim (Allah swt knows best)
once again, jazakhilakhair
open to any more help or info

Since you have had a few proposals, I assume everyone from the Imam, to your parents to your aunties know you are looking?
Stick with imploring Allah swt for a husband;
For those not familiar:
Oh Allah! You alone do we worship and pray exclusively to You and bow before You alone and we hasten eagerly towards You.
O Allah, You have power and I have none. You know all and I know not. You are The Knower of all that is hidden.
If, in Your knowledge it is good for _____, his faith and his temporal and religious life, then ordain for him a good righteous wife that he may dwell in tranquility and put a love and mercy between their hearts. May they be wedded and their purity further increased. May they be a source of joy for each other and their children be righteous.
Oh Allah, grant me your love, grant me that I love those who love you; grant me, that I might do the deeds that win your love. Make your love dearer to me than the love of myself, my family and wealth.
Oh Allah, perfect our light for us and forgive us. Oh Allah, please answer my prayers. You are always near, responsive.
There is no ilah except Allah the Magnificent, The Forbearing.
There is no ilah except Allah Lord of the Magnificent Throne.
There is no ilah except Allah Lord of the Heavens, Lord of the Earth, and Lord of the Noble Throne.
Istikhara (Seeking Guidance from Allah), and Consultation Allah, the Exalted, says: "And consult them in the affairs.'' (3:159) "And who (conduct) their affairs by mutual consultation.'' (42:38)
Hadith 718 Jabir (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah (PBUH) used to teach us the Istikharah (seeking guidance from Allah) in all matters as he would teach us a Surah of the Qur'an. He used to say:
"When one of you contemplates entering upon an enterprise, let him perform two Rak`ah of optional prayer other than Fard prayers and then supplicate:
"Allahumma inni astakhiruka bi `ilmika, wa astaqdiruka bi qudratika, wa as-'aluka min fadlikal- `azim. Fainnaka taqdiru wa la aqdiru, wa ta`lamu wa la a`lamu, wa Anta `allamul-ghuyub.
Allahumma in kunta ta`lamu anna hadhal-`amra (and name what you want to do) khairun li fi dini wa ma`ashi wa `aqibati amri, (or he said) `ajili amri ajilihi, faqdurhu li wa yassirhu li, thumma barik li fihi. Wa in kunta ta`lamu anna hadhal `amra (and name what you want to do) sharrun li fi dini wa ma`ashi wa `aqibati amri, (or he said) wa `ajili amri wa ajilihi, fasrifhu `anni, wasrifni `anhu, waqdur liyal-khaira haithu kana, thumma ardini bihi."
(O Allah, I consult You through Your Knowledge, and I seek strength through Your Power, and ask of Your Great Bounty; for You are Capable whereas I am not and, You know and I do not, and You are the Knower of hidden things.
O Allah, if You know that this matter (and name it) is good for me in respect of my Deen, my livelihood and the consequences of my affairs, (or he said), the sooner or the later of my affairs then ordain it for me, make it easy for me, and bless it for me. But if You know this matter (and name it) to be bad for my Deen, my livelihood or the consequences of my affairs, (or he said) the sooner or the later of my affairs then turn it away from me, and turn me away from it, and grant me power to do good whatever it may be, and cause me to be contented with it). And let the supplicant specify the object." [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]
