Im not sure to be honest, but I would advise you to get a book you do know is trustworthy about the matter - to read alongside that book and provide perspective inshAllah

Thomas Friedman is a columnist for the NY times.  This book is just a reprint of all his columns on sept 11 events which were published in the NY times.  The author traveled to middle eastern countries and discovers why muslims hate the US !!! He was in Israel at the time of sept 11.  This is not a fact driven book, just observations and half baked theories.

I have not read it myself.

Hope this helps insha'Allah.

take care
