Don't forget your Zakat-ul-Fitr -

The amount of Zakat-ul-Fitr has been set to 8 DA (per person) this year HERE! What about you there?

The canadian dollar must be doing well ... $7 minimum per person.

I guess there isn't a scientific formula to determine this.  They just estimate how much an "average" meal costs and they come out with the figure.

What can you buy with $7, maybe a slice of pizza and a pop, a meal for one from popeye's.  All junk food. Well, if you forgo the pop, you can buy a nice chicken shawarma sandwich.  I guess that's good.  Sorry guys, I must be making you hungry.

Have a nice iftar.

Asalamaulaikum wrt wb,

It's $2 where I am, good deal Smiley

Actually, there is no maximum, if you give more that is better.

The head of household should pay sadaqatal fitr on behalf of all of those he supports, ie. all those in his house.  This includes the children and  newborns.

Allah knows best.
