Went to the bookstore yesterday and bought 2 amazing books.
1. Lost History : The enduring legacy of Muslim Scientists, Thinkers and Artists by Michael Hamilton Morgan (price 40S$)
This is a good book that shows the rich Islamic heritage and how ISLAM is the influence for so many Western achievements. Easy writing style so not tedious.
2. Ibn Qayyim Al-Jawziyya : Medicine of the Prophet, translated by Penelope Johnstone (price 43S$)
What can I say, she is very respectful of the traditions and included lots of Sahih Hadiths in it. Good easy reading. She has a PhD in History of Arabic medicine and herbs. She is very respectful, if the hadith is not sahih she mentions that. She also cross-referenced other Muslim authors like Abu Nu'aym.
Now I know what to do for those days where I have dense wind in the tummy
