Asalaam alaikum,

For those who are voting, please remember what Cynthia McKinney has done and continues to do for speaking out for Palestinians and other causes also.

u know maybe she couldve won if all of us muslims got together and decided to vote for her. the islamic organization and the scholars endorsed her.

but unfortuantely that has not happened and she will not win so there is not point in voting for her.

Asalaam alaikum,

I understand what you are saying but it has to start somewhere... if a LOT of us vote for her (green party) then it may cause a paradigm shift, insha'Allah.  Atleast, people will know somehow that Muslim are starting to vote for what they actually believe in, insha'Allah.

Plus, we should show our appreciation to her by voting for her.

 sigh

Go ahead and vote for her!  A third party isn't going to win, of course.  But the whole point for voting for a third party is that if enough people vote for an alternative to the regular two parties, the two parties then take that into consideration for the next election and modify their platforms.

VOTING FOR A THIRD PARTY IS NOT A WASTED VOTE!!

salaam

lol its kind of late to announce it.. But seriously I think its important that we vote for obama just because i think it would be really dangerous if mcain won. They are close in the polls right now. the economy is very very down.. our reputation in the world is destroyed.. there are our muslim brothers and sisters in secret prisons all over the world. if we let mcain win i have no faith in they will be ever freed. but with obama there is still a chance. the iraq war needs to end. if we let mcain win how many more brothers and sisters do want dead? he keeps talking about a 'victory' he is dreaming. when will this happen?  everything is in turmoil . we should not take the 'risk' mcain has even joked about bombing iran. that is scary!

I live in a red state (VERY red), so it doesn't much matter whether I vote for Obama or McKinney...
