Asalamualaikum wrt wb,

All praise be to Allah.

I am happy that you benefited from the knowledge posted on the message board.  I ask Allah Most High to use us to spread the beneficial knowledge to others.  Glad tidings to you for seeking out the knowledge of the religion, and I ask Allah to reward you with His Paradise.

As for your question about the Hadith about praying in the Masjid, the details are as follows:

1.)  We cannot derive a ruling from a single hadith.  We have to look at all the hadith together.

The scholars say:

Jumaah prayer is Wajib (required) according to all the scholars, for men.  We should all try to reach the Masjid early for the Friday pray, and listen attentively to the scholars, so that we may attain fiqh of the religion, and be reminded to fear Allah and strive for the Akhirah.

2.)  As for praying the 5 daily prayers in the Masjid, the scholars differed regarding its obligation.  The Hanbali school holds that it is obligatory to pray them in the masjid.

Other Ulema hold that it is a strong Sunnah.

The opinion I follow is that the hadith that mentions the sin of leaving the Jama'ah in the Masjid refers to those who abandon the Jamaa'h, ie, they never pray in the Masjid.

This is indeed very sinful, for the Muslims are our brothers and we need to stay with them.

Prayer in the Masjid is 27 times more rewardable than praying at home.  Imagine, each rakat in the masjid is like 27 at home, this is a great benefit.  We should make every effort to attend the salat in the Masjid, but if one is excused, then there is no sin on him, InshaAllah.

And Allah knows best.

Be merciful to those on earth, and the One in the Heavens will be merciful to you.
