   Assalam alaikum,
Sayyid Uwais al-Qarni was a Tabe'i, as he never met the Messenger of Allah, S.A.W, face to face, but the Messenger spoke about him and asked Umar bn Khatab and Ali bn Abu Talib to seek him and request him to pray for them. In his book, THE CHILDEREN AROUND THE TABLE OF ALLAH, Sheik M.S al-Jamal spoke about this bundle of piety and meekness- Uwais Qarni, may Allah be pleased with him.
2.Please see what the Sheik says in the attached brief on Sayyid Uwais, whom the Messenger of Allah charged some of his companions to visit and request for his adu'a. Indeed we stand in need of such MINDS today more than ever as guides on the way.
   3. Wassalam alaina/alaikum.
