It is a truth universally acknowledged that a single muslim man is in want of a muslim wife.

Asalaamu Alaikum  bro

You can tell summer has arrived when you get really ridiculous stories passing themselves for news!

Take the following for example; I just love the last line!!  Wink

If you see an equally incredulous story, then feel free to post!!  bro

Giant burgers can break your jaw

Super-size burgers carry the danger of jaw injuries, a recent study by Chinese dentists has shown.

According to a report by the China Post newspaper, Dr Hsu Ming-lung, associate professor of the School of Dentistry of National Yang-Ming University in Taipei, said that he is dealing with a growing number of patients who suffer from sore jaws after consuming hamburgers in fast food chains.

Hsu said that people normally open their mouths some four centimetres to eat, but most super-size burgers are measured over eight centimetres in height. People who regularly force their mouths open to consume such burgers are subject to temporomandibular [temporo what? BrK] disorders, a malfunction of the jaw joints, he said.

Two fast food chains in particular were responsible for the problem, the dentist said, without naming them.

He urged burger lovers to refrain from tucking into huge burgers, and asked restaurants to put labels on their oversized products to warn consumers against over-extending their mouths.

No worries

Asked by Gulf News if fast-food consumers in the UAE are facing similar problems, Angelika Hoebelt, dentist in Dubai, said that she has not heard of any burger-related injuries among her patients so far.

"As a burger consumer I would be far more concerned about cholesterol and fat levels," she said.

Say: "O ye my servants who believe! Fear your Lord, good is (the reward) for those who do good in this world. Spacious is God's earth! those who patiently persevere will truly receive a reward without measure!" [39:10]
