Allahu Akbar! I have never seen such a video of the grandness of the Prophet SAW's Masjid! Wow! Maasha-Allah. Jizakallah for sharing that!
I hope you take more advantage of your father's remaining time in Saudi Arabia. Your indeed lucky to experience it in depth like that. Happy for you!
Thanks a lot for your kind words sister
Ma'sha'allah! That was too too beautiful and amazing!
Yes, you are indeed beyond fortunate to have the chance to go there so often with you dad's job - yup, too bad it will be coming to an end.
I feel just fortunate to have watched your video and to have seen the Prophet's mosque in a more intimate way, other than being there myself. So yeah, I echo what Sr. Halima said, never seen a video showing that grandness of Masjid An-Nabawi
I just can't imagine even walking where you were . . . . right now it's just a fantasy really . . . I just hope it is one that comes true sooner rather than later.
I've watched and re-watched a 2-part video that has a computer model of the Prophet's mosque with commentary on the special locations with the stories behind them during the Prophet's time. I think the Rawdah is the place I would want to go to first - that's marked by the green rather than red rugs, from what I learned. Those videos are posted in the Cool Islamic Videos section of the board.
Also, I couldn't help chuckling when I heard the Urdu conversation - I've got family from the area, so good chuckling mind you.
Jazak'Allahu Khairan akhan bhai
Alhamdulilah for being fortunate Baba bhai I too hope to find a job over there(though I don't know how it would be possible with my career aspirations) which would keep me close to the Haramain and reciprocate my dad's efforts to have us there so often.
This video was just incidental..InshAllah when I go next time I'll shoot a few clips in a much better way exclusively for the Madinans
Hold on to that fantasy,it will come true InshAllah (you can find work as a doctor in Saudi Arabia very easily, doctors are scarce in the kingdom and most of them are expats)
The green rug area is mostly called "Riaz ul Jannah" but I think it's the plural of Rawdah or the vice versa.Donno exactly, blame my illiteracy in Arabic for that
Hahaha..the voices you'll hear are of my dad and the cabbie (conversation in arabic, highway clip),then dad and stepmom and her on the phone (urdu
),then dad and sis (urdu, the kaaba clip),then dad and other sis (urdu, hijra route clip),then dad and bro (kahan jana hai? lol) and lastly dad and bro again in the last clip (chappal kahan hai?
Next time I'll put my voice too and we'll have the whole family represented
Btw,you're from Hyderabad too?
