whoa..easy with the anti-desi movement
On a more serious note,I don't know how desis in the west are because I've never been to the west. But,here in desiland..it sure is getting too much with culture.I try to oppose the cultural "Islam" and end up being called Wahhabi,Salafi and Bidati
,when it is actually the opposite.
What's worse is that they think that the way the forefathers practiced the religion is the right way to do it,even if it involves innovation or even kufr.
We can keep talking/writing for hours on the corrupt practices and their origin but there's no use doing that.
The need of the hour is to devise a strategy(which works) to get them back on the right path.
trust me i live in thier small town mentality so i know.hence im moving to manchester inshallah within a few weeks.
Hey bro, running away is not a solution, you gotta stay and show them what's right and what's not.
Even if nobody pays heed you have to do it and that's why Allah placed you between them.If everyone runs away then who's gonna guide them? And Allah's gonna ask us why we didn't guide our fellow Muslims when we had to.
If Allah bestowed them with "La Ilaha Ill Allah" then that means He sees something in them.We are no one to throw them out of the religion. We just have to guide them.
I know it's quite difficult but you have to do it nonetheless.
At least you have to bear with a small community,I belong to the same community and live where Imams(some, not all) give Khutbahs about the importance of dargahs and fatihas and all sorts of weird stuff.
But,we still gotta do it.
May Allah make us and others successful in our mission.
