Salams & Howdy y'all  cowboy !

I'm currently in Texas right now. Was trying to put up some pics but currently don't have photoshop Sad Sux to try to resize them. Also our internet blew out yesterday! There was some kind of huge storm with hail and all. So now I'm using the nearby Mosque's internet from a corner of the house lol. Allrightey just checking in. Will write some of my impressions of this place as well soon.

Yes I was definitely trying to escape the cold! It was cold for a few days but alhamdulillah now it's like 70s and 80s everyday gorgeous weather1!1!

Here's a few pics:

These are in and around College Station. Home of Texas A & M University. Just outside the city there are a ton of beautiful ranches with horses and cows.

we had a huge storm with hail, which is apparently common here. An old plantation house nearby which is now a restaurant and pics from a nearby lake.

great shots masha'ALlah.  I especially like the one with the trees and the path in the rain.  if you blow that up and print it on canvas (at walmart or costco) , it can be a lovely wall hanging.

take care

Salaams - Super beautiful shots Sis J - loving the water/nature shots and I absolutely love all sunset pictures - you snapped an awesome one ma'sha'allah.

As for the storm - that region is known for some real nasty ones- I have spent some time Oklahoma and I was always afraid a tornado would rip through (have a fascination with those, but just don't to be there when one strikes).

OK, awesome rose garden, but I gotta say, our (Portland's) International Rose Test Garden could give that one a good fight (also please see my profile page for roses from our backyard  Grin sorry for the self-promotion). http://www.portlandonline.com/parks/finder/index.cfm?PropertyID=1113&action=ViewPark

Wow, wild rabbit - awwww, but rabbits are so soft and stuff (ok, I know that sounds girly, but I can't imagine eating rabbit, but I know people do)

The mosque is beautiful and though it doesn't hold good memories (during my dad's illness), I seem to recognize the roadway in Houston you've posted, but that could be semi-wishful thinking . . .it's so humid there isn't it?
Love the water shots - I actually love being on the water (in a boat of course) - went fishing once (nice pic of the fishy, btw) before coming to Prague, really enjoyable . . .

OMG, the food looks YUMMY!!!!! That buffet looks to die for, mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!

Thanks for sharing the pictures Sis J

Love the sunset picture here! I don't know, I just feel that pictures are more beautiful when you know who they are taken by, for some reason
