... For my fasts to be accepted Insh'Allah & that the children take away happy memories of Eid.

@ BrKhalid, very surprised by your choice... For some reason I didn't think you were materialistic at all, but just goes to show you should never presume!  Grin

Walaiykum Salam,

Yeh of course if it's Eid, we should all have a little dream. IPhone 5 is a good choice, is it out yet?  Cheesy

I'd also like to spend it with my family. It'll be the last one together as a family before all siblings are married & leave parents' home. End of an era  Sad

Insh'Allah, beginning of a new era though...  Smiley

Has anyone else noticed how whenever you get desi people speaking in their mother tongue they automatically increase the decibels, so they're practically bellowing at eachother.

I once had to seriously bite my tongue when a group of aunties hobbled into a Jummah Khutba late, trampled over the early comers to sit on the sisters in the front row & then proceeded to gab very loudly about some community scandal Shocked I literally had steam coming off the top of my head I was so angry!!!!

All I want for Eid is...

... a future where it's not just about the rich getting richer, and everyone else getting poorer (potterville economics Sad ), a better economic climate, and where famines only exist as historical reference.

man..I know how that feels. I was supposed to go last month but there was some problem with daddy dearest's residence permit so he couldn't sponsor my visa. It's been sorted out now and InshAllah I'll go during my winter break, sometime in Dec.
