About Shaykh Khalid:
Shaykh Khalid Abdul Sattar was born in Chicago. After completing his bachelor’s degree in marketing and management from the Stern Business School at New York University (NYU), Shaykh Khalid traveled overseas in 2003 to further his knowledge of the traditional Islamic sciences and formally graduated in 2008, receiving ijaza to teach various Islamic disciplines. In conjunction with his pursuit of traditional knowledge, he also has received spiritual guidance and training from Shaykh Zulfiqar Ahmad. Currently, Shaykh Khalid is the director of Ilm Essentials, an online traditional learning program. He currently resides in Maryland with his wife and children.
