To love is to sigh at another's discomfort, to celebrate at another's blessings.

True love is only for the sake of Allah.

When we can’t get along with another believer, we like to blame it on that person’s limitations: Naivety, foolishness, acts of kufr, aggressive conduct or some other evil.

The real reason is none of these. It is that this dunya is broken, and we are the shattered pieces.

And all that stops us from coming back together is that we each imagine ourselves as a single ummah.

You may have a real reason for disliking another believer. He may be a negative influence. He may be somehow corrupt or even small-minded.

But if he needs help, as long as his need is halal -- go out of your way and do it for him.

First of all, he is your brother in Islam. Secondly, you’ll be a better person having done it.

You want people to understanding Islam -- whether your it's best friend, your parents, your child, or a complete stranger. It is not with debate, not with tricky wordgames, and not with intellectual execises that you will succeed -- but by drawing them in with your sincere love for our deen, by showing your faith to who they are and with acts of goodness.

The people of this dunya regard faith as something minor, but believers consider faith as being of the greatest importance.

The way to true faith is through simplicity, without philosophy or dialectical materialism.

Remember your role

When it comes to the believer's role to better himself and all humanity, the Evil Inclination tries to argue: "What’s the rush? What is so urgent? You have a long life ahead of you; there’s plenty of time to fix things later…"

Remember:

{And hold fast, all of you together to the Rope of Allah} (3:103)

The Guide

Even in the darkest, most evil corners of the dunya, one can draw close to Al-Hadi.

Disciple?

Be of the disciples of the Prophet, loving peace and pursuing peace, loving the all creatures and drawing them near to the Quran.
