Statements a wife makes
six weeks in marriage
Honey wake up its time for swalah
Dear breakfast is ready
Dear try to be fast am late fo work

six months in marriage
swalah wake up
your food is getting cold
hurry up I'll be late

six years in marriage
are you praying or not?
Are you eating the food or not?
Are you dropping me off or not?

I was talking to a friend who was complaing that after ayear in marriage the husband no longer gives a goodbye kiss when going to work as he used to when they were newly weds. I remembered this article which I read somewhere and wondered why love is always in the air after nikkah. What realy happens after weeks, months or years of staying together?
Is there acouple out there that has been together 10, 20 or 50 years and still live everyday as their first day in marriage?

salam,
well I've been married almost a year and things have mellowed a bit unlike in the beginning and it seems to be so common, I blame my inability to be affectionate on my preggy state thou

I do see what you're saying about things degenerating after people 'get used to each other and take them for granted', but maybe the marriage is not the same because it grew and got better??
