Asssalamu alaikum!

Ummm this is probably a silly question but my cousin said you guys might know the answer...
I really like playing Sims (the computer game where your in charge of people in a virtual world). But one of my friends said that it's haram to play Sims Medieval because you are called "The Watcher" and worshipped by the sims.

Is this true? Can I play the game if I don't let my sims do any worshipping/joining churches or anything?

Thank you!

ws,

This is definitely an interesting question... can you do let's say 'haram' things on sims or 'second life' type of sites like go to bars and drink or have a gf or other things. What about video games where you are basically killing people?? or casino games that don't actually pay out $. Very murky stuff.

salaam,

guess I i never told you guys about my 'second life' molestation.

so remember 'second life' ? Well I was trying it out one time, and some dude tried to ' touch' me. IT was too freaky even for a fake virtual world - i cancelled that account.

Haram - I cannot speak for , but it did not feel right. Go with your gut/ common sense.

peace
