Assalam Alakium,

I have a mother in law who has pictures in all her rooms/living room, etc (except the dining room but you can see the pictures). When I'm there and it is time to pray, I wait until I go home. But she prays in the living room where there are pictures hanging and on the mantel. Isn't this haram?

Also my sister in law's dog is sometimes in the house, doesn't the dog have to be out of the house and a certain feet away from the house??

Thank you
