 Assalaamu Aleikum!

I'm in a very difficult situation and I don't know what to do.

I'm a converted muslim woman, been for 10 years alhamdolillah. I'm married with a very pious man whom I love a lot.
We are now in a situation where we can't financially manage.

I'm a university student and I do some part time work. The money I'm getting is not even enough to pay the rent. Due a very difficult reason, my husband can't work even though he would want.

I don't know where to seek help. The situation is only temporally but we don't seem to survive even this month. I have no relatives who can help.

Any ideas? Where can I ask for help? The situation is stressing my husband too much and I hate to see him suffering

Walaikum salam,

Not sure what country you are in, but have you tried to get disability for him? Like if he can't work because of illness or injury? I'd visit the local social services office and ask them if there is something they can do temporarily until you get back on your feet. You could also try asking family members for a loan. Also try to find other means for income, selling your old stuff, moving in with relatives etc.

Assalamu Alaiykum,

In UK, there's an organisation called The National Zakat Foundation. They maybe able to help you out In Sha Allah. They look at your circumstances (they deal with application very quickly) and from the sounds of things I think you may qualify.

Please get in touch with them if you are based in the UK. Here's their website details:

May Allah Subhanahu wa'tala ease your situation and give you patience. Ameen.

وَلَسَوْفَ يُعْطِيكَ رَبُّكَ فَتَرْضَىٰ

And soon will your Lord give you so that you shall be well pleased.
