Although a unity government in Palestine is not a prerequisite for obtaining full UN membership, without it Palestinians will have to struggle more to achieve Yasser Arafat’s goal. A united house alone can achieve greater freedom and economic territorial security. After all, Palestinians are not fighting to serve the cause their enemies.

Now, after a prolonged fight, tensions between them appear to have eased in recent months owing to Israeli war on Palestinians in Gaza and UN approval for Palestine membership in principle. Egypt helped broker the deal between Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas, who heads the Fatah party, and Hamas's Khaled Meshaal. The reconciliation accord signed two years ago was meant to pave the way for a joint interim government and joint elections in 2012 but negotiations stalled. Israel is eager to keep the tensions between the rival parties intact.

In Jan 2006: Hamas wins Palestinian elections and in March 2007: Hamas-led unity government formed. In June 2007: Hamas-Fatah clashes erupt in Gaza; The Islamist movement ousted Fatah from Gaza in 2007 following a civil war ignited by USA-Israel terror twins after winning Palestinian elections the previous year.PA President Abbas dissolves government; Hamas ousts Fatah from Gaza. In May 2011, Hamas and Fatah sign reconciliation accord but no follow up action was imitated because Abbas wanted the US endorsement first.  Israel found it convenient to attack Palestinians, killing them  and  proliferate the illegal colonies in Palestine with US backing.

Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi is set to mediate talks in Cairo on 10th January between the leaders of Fatah and Hamas to help implement a unity pact signed in 2011. On Wednesday Abbas, the leader of the Palestinian Authority (PA), and Meshaal will first "meet Egypt's intelligence chief before holding a three-way meeting with President Morsi in his palace...

Relations between Fatah and Hamas collapsed in June 2007 when PLO leader president of Fatah party Mahmoud Abbas, under pressure from US-Israel terror twins, ordered the dissolution of the Hamas-led unity government amid deadly clashes between the factions in Gaza. Top terrocracies like USA, Israel and EU .are yet to designate the ruling party Hamas as a “terrorist” group and to designate Israel as the worst terrorist state of the globe

Since Israel rejects the right of Palestinians to exist and also uses state terrorism as key tool to silence the besieged populations of Palestine Hamas government has also refused to renounce violence since it has protect the people from Israeli attack. That is prime reason why Hamas refuses to, recognise fascist Israel or accept peace accords between the Fatah-dominated Palestinian Authority and Israel.

Notwithstanding the dirty efforts of Israel and USA, there have been signs of warming ties between the Hamas and Fatah rivals in recent times. Last Saturday, Hamas allowed Fatah to hold rallies in Gaza for the first time since 2007. Hundreds of thousands of supporters of Abbas held mass gatherings in the coastal enclave to mark Fatah's 48th anniversary.

Also, last month, supporters of Hamas celebrated their movement's founding with a rare rally in the West Bank, which is governed by the PA. In a recent speech while in Gaza, Meshaal urged "reconciliation and national unity of the Palestinian ranks".

The ruling Islamist Hamas party and the pro-west Fatah fundamentally disagree in their approach towards Israel and its fascist mindset.

Israel is the cause of plight of all Palestinians and Fatah-Hamas fights.

Will Fatah and Hamas recognize their collective duty before their people and world at large?

Global media today, even in Muslim nations, are controlled by CIA  & other anti-Islamic agencies.Terrorism is caused by anti-Islamic forces.Regimes often resort to  state terrorism. Anti-Muslimism and anti-Islamism are more dangerous than "terrorism" Fake democracies like USA, Israel and India have zero-tolerance to any criticism of their anti-Muslim and other aggressive practices. Anti-Islamic forces & terrorists are using criminal elements for terrorizing the world and they in disguise are harming genuine interests of ordinary Muslims.
