Quote
The Christian Association of Nigeria has confirmed that it indeed issued a statement on Sunday warning former Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nasir El-Rufai, to desist from making any statement that would disparage the Christian faith.

The National General Secretary of the Association, Musa Asake, had in the statement threatened to let go of its members’ anger at Mr. El-Rufai, if he does not desist from statements that are inciting and contemptuous of Jesus Christ.

You will be wondering what this disparaging comment is that deserves a hash rebuke like this. The present Nigeria's government is known with the habit of rejecting every criticism and labeling most obvious facts as invention of critics. Penultimate week a former minister charged the present and its predecessor with embezzlement. Instead of of depending his government by refuting the allegations, a presidential spoke person only told the nation not to listen to the minister, that she has a political ambition. This made one critic to post this on his twitter page:

@zebbook "If Jesus criticizes Jonathan's govt, Maku/Abati/Okupe will say he slept with Mary Madgalene.”

Maku/Abati/Okupe are the government figures who usually speak on behalf of the government.

The person being warn by the Christian association, Nasir El Rufai happened to see this tweet and retweeted it.

@elrufai “@zebbook: If Jesus criticizes Jonathan's govt, Maku/Abati/Okupe will say he slept with Mary Madgalene.”....LWKMD.....

adding LWKMD, translated in Nigeria's social media jargons as "Laugh Wan Kill Me Die." Because he's an icon on the twitter making his retweet brings the original tweet to the notice of the public, CAN decided to attack him.

Do you also think this analogous joke is a blasphemy?

"Whoever rejects false deities and believes in Allah has grasped a firm handhold which will never break." Q 2:256"
