Maasha-Allah! I was in a Library in St. Paul, MN and it was prayer time. I walked between rows of book shelves trying to find an appropriate place to perform Salah. Then one of the Muslim Sisters there told me that there is a section designated for Salah.

Its a space between one of the last rows of the bookshelves and an emergency door with sufficient space. Pegs to hold a curtain have been drilled into the the wall and one part of the book shelve. A prayer mat is also available. The prayer mat, the curtain and curtain rod is kept at the information desk. Whenever its time for Salah, all you have to do is ask for them at the information desk. They happily give them to you and you return them after performing your Salah.

You can not imagine the courtesy and respect accorded to that area and those praying there. Subhanallah.

The Almighty Allah says,

"When a servant thinks of Me, I am near.
When he invokes Me, I am with him.
If he reflects on Me in secret, I reply in secret,
And if he acknowledges Me in an assembly,
I acknowledge him in a far superior assembly."

- Prophet Muhammad (SAW), as reptd by Abu Huraira
