Assalamu alaikum!

A couple of years back I anonymously posted about a great artist called "Nayzak" who posts lots of great Islamic comics and drawings online. I think that there's a sad dearth of Muslim artists who draw in such a way - maybe we could all post artists in this thread, whether they're online, children's illustrators...whatever! It's just nice to see Muslims drawn...

My favorite - he has some great stuff!

She's a lovely German-Tunisian illustrator.

A really cool Malaysian illustrator as well!

Anyways, I hope that you guys enjoy looking through their work - it's not only beneficial, but also gorgeous to look at!

Salaams.

Thanks for posting this sis.  I printed some of these pictures out to post up on the noticeboard at school.  Just something nice, Islamic and fun to look at for my students.

I'm also following the work of a few graphic designers, mainly who deal with calligraphy and logo design, but still an inspiration to youth who want to pursue art as a career:

Visual Dhikr - some really great examples of art and calligraphy design

Peter Gould - Some amazing work.

Brotherhood arts - some really cool t-shirts, badges/pinbacks, bookmarks and other cool Islamic stuff that are great for prizes and stuff that could be given out to students. Only downside is the cost of postage.

There's also heaps of examples of Islamic art, wall decals, pictures, canvas art and typography for sale on sites like etsy and zazzle - not sure about the quality of some of the works out there, but it is encouraging to see the emergence of Muslim artists creating Islamic artwork.

For me, the more I surround myself with visual reminders, the more focused I am.  Every little bit helps, inshaallah.
