There's a lot of buzz on the internet about this supposed 'Million Muslim March'...mostly by non-Muslims.

Has anyone here heard any talk of it?

Just to let you know, it's most probably a trap:  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/COINTELPRO

So don't get involved.

I don't know if it's a trap, but it's an extremely DUMB idea to hold it on 9/11!! Who's ridiculous idea was that? Has no one learned anything after the whole "ground zero mosque" antipathy?! 9/11 is a very sensitive topic for Americans, and doing it on that same day is just going to make the hostility worse because it is enforcing the idea "muslims perpetrated 9/11".

Ooops.   sorry

I stand corrected.

AMPAC (The American Muslim Political Action Committee) came up with this idea of a Million Muslim March a long time ago, but soon changed the because many non-Muslims came to them wanting to march also.  So soon after conception, they changed the name to The Million American March.  But the bigoted corporate media latched on the original name and used it, once again, to try and demonize Muslims (How dare they do that on 9/11, blah, blah, blah...)  http://politicalblindspot.com/there-is-no-million-muslim-march-on-911-and-there-never-was/

This march is actually called the Million American March Against Fear.

"We ask all individuals and organizations working for peace to attend this collective action to tell our Government leaders we want transparency and policies of peace.  In the past 12 years since 9/11 the United States government as failed to protect and promote Constitutional liberties and human life, here and abroad.  We feel that accountability in government has been ignored and the time has arrived to collectively speak truth to power.
Speaking will be experts and individuals on the lack of transparency and questions plaguing 9/11, steady erosion of domestic civil liberties, drone policy and the very dire effect of these on of plight of American Muslims here at home, and Muslim communities globally in the scope of U.S. imperialism, and the modern face of resistance to unmanned aerial surveillance and warfare."

While this march is different from what I first thought, I would still caution people wanting to attend.  Seems like a perfect place for the government to put agents provocateur...
