Religion is pattern and way of life which governs its followers to adopt habits which it surpasses. Religion specifically Islam is considered as ray of hope when importance of good character is under discussion.

If we imagine a typical personality of individual practicing religious activities in current era, what comes to our mind that person is always involved in learning Quran online, humble in character, punctual to prayers, beads in hand and handkerchief on shoulder. Apart with having such activities person lacks exemplary morals in character i.e. gentleness & compassionating element in speech and unselfishness & genuineness in actions. Islam does not asks a person to dedicate yourself for the sake of worship, but rather it lays stress upon “huquq al ibaad” (service to humanity).

This message is given in:

Surah 4, An-Nisa (29) O you who have attained to faith! Do not devour one another’s possessions wrongfully – not even by way of trade based on mutual agreement – and do not kill [destroy] one another……..

It is also described in Hadith,

The Prophet (PBUH) informs us:  “The only reason I have been sent is to perfect good manners” (Bukhari).

In the light of above Hadith if our Holy Prophet (PBUH) was sent for the perfection of character then being followers (Uma’ati) of he (PBUH) we should imitate what he (PBUH) used to perform for such abilities. May Allah Almighty (SWT) help us follow such path that doesn’t make us feel shame for in front of Allah Almighty (SWT).
